1. Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to operate NikNok and to keep it secure:

• Account and sign-in: your email address, used to send you a one-time verification code and to create and sign in to your account. The verification code and a short cooldown marker are held temporarily; your email address is stored as your account identifier. Your session tokens are kept on your device in secure storage.
• Display name: a display name derived from your email address. Your in-app avatar is an initial letter.
• Content sent to the AI assistant: the messages and prompts you type, and the images you upload. This content is sent to our AI providers to generate replies and media, and is not retained on our servers.
• Content we store: the images you upload, and the images and short videos generated for you, are stored in cloud object storage.
• Feed: when you choose to share a post to the Feed, it is public within the app and visible to other signed-in users, together with your display name.
• Device storage: your signed-in session, your chat history, and which Feed posts you have revealed are kept locally on your device.

NikNok does not request access to your contacts, your location, or your advertising identifier, and it does not run analytics or crash-reporting SDKs on your device.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account and sign you in
• To operate the NikNok assistant and generate the images and videos you request
• To screen the prompts and uploaded images used for AI generation for unsafe or prohibited content
• To store, display, and deliver the media you create or share
• To show the public Feed to signed-in users
• To keep the service secure, enforce our terms, and troubleshoot problems

3. Permissions and Your Choices

To add an image, NikNok uses the system photo picker (on iOS, PHPicker), which does not require photo-library permission. NikNok does not request notification, location, or tracking permission. Before any of your content is sent to our AI providers, you are asked to give explicit consent in the app. You can withdraw that consent at any time in the app settings, which turns the AI features off until you consent again.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is transmitted and stored using encryption. The images you upload and any images or videos generated for you are kept in cloud object storage and delivered through a content delivery network. Your account data is retained for as long as your account remains active. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the app's settings.

5. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third parties to operate the service. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies:

• Aliyun DirectMail — used to deliver your sign-in verification code email, which receives your email address.
• Cloudflare R2 (S3-compatible object storage) and its CDN — used to store and deliver the images and videos you create or share.
• AI service providers — when you use AI features, your messages, the images you send, and the prompts you write are sent to the providers below to generate responses. DeepSeek provides chat replies and the screening of generation prompts and uploaded images; OpenAI provides image generation; ByteDance (via Seedance) provides video generation; and Tavily provides the search backend for AI web search. You must consent within the app before any content is transmitted.
• Google Fonts — our website (niknok.ai) loads its web fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when you visit the site.

The AI model endpoints are configured on our servers, and the provider list above reflects our current deployment. We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes. You can withdraw your consent to AI data sharing at any time in the app settings. 6. User Content

You control what you share. Posts you share to the Feed are public within the app, together with your display name, and can be seen by other signed-in users. We screen the prompts and uploaded images used for AI generation, and we have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. See our Terms of Service for details.

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account and its data from the app's settings, or contact us at the email address below.
